Sync in “Occupied City”

Proud to be representing the music of the late Stephen Allen Davis. His song “Masquerade” was chosen for “Occupied City” a documentary film directed and produced by Steve McQueen and based on the book Atlas of an Occupied City, Amsterdam 1940–1945 by Bianca Stigter.

The film juxtaposes the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam during World War II with the city’s recent years of pandemic and protest. The film includes images of empty streets, memorial services, Zoom wedding ceremonies, anti-vaccine riots, and children sledding.
